Claudia Borges, a native of Rio de Janeiro, mother of three girls, married to an airline pilot, left Brazil in 2006 with her family, beginning a cultural and professional journey that would take her to different parts of the world. She lived in China, where she learned to speak Mandarin and immersed herself deeply in local traditions and customs. Throughout her travels, she accumulated cultural experiences in numerous countries, always with an attentive and curious eye.
Since mid 2010, Claudia has adopted Dubai as her second home, where she has specialized in tourism, obtaining all the necessary licenses to operate in the market. She has worked directly with local businesses and a variety of clients, and has gradually built a solid foundation of knowledge about the culture, religion and unique dynamics of the region.
Her experience in tourism goes beyond the United Arab Emirates: Claudia has also worked in destinations such as Iran, Oman and Qatar, developing new routes and bringing innovations to the sector. In addition, she wrote the first book in Portuguese about the United Arab Emirates: Os Caminhos de Dubai, a bilingual work published in Brazil and Portugal.
With over 13 years of experience guiding clients directly, Claudia believes that being a guide is the “icing on the cake” of her job. Through dealing with tourists in person, she has gained a deep understanding of what they truly expect when visiting the region. This unique and practical knowledge has driven the creation of Signature Tours by Claudia, a company that was born from her desire to provide clients with authentic and memorable experiences in the Emirates.
